How to install custom recovery on moto x play ? ( Solved )

Motorola released their one of the best smartphone Moto X Play in August 2015. Moto X Play and Moto X Play Style are packed with lots of features and have high performance. Today we are going to show u how to install custom recovery on Moto X Play and Moto X Play Style.

Before rooting your phone you must install custom recovery on your devices. Here are the steps of installing custom recovery.

REQUIREMENTS:

=> PC

=> Phone battery should be upto 40-50%.

=> Unlocked bootloader of Moto X Play or Moto X Play Style.

STEPS :

=> First download and install Adb and fastboot fastboot tools on your PC. (Skip if you have done before)

=> Now install phone USB drivers on your pc.(Skip if you have done before)

=> Download twrp recovery.img on your computer and rename it as recovery.img.

=> Now move the recovery.img to the adb and fastboot folder (i.e in c:/program files/adb and fastboot)

=> Now, open MAF32.exe from adb and fastboot folder.

=> Now give the following commands in command box (it can be opened by shift+right click in adb and fastboot folder).

adb devices ( Press Enter )

adb reboot bootloader  ( Press Enter )

fastboot flash recovery recovery.img. ( Press Enter )

=> Now remove the battery before phone boots.

=> Now insert the battery in your phone and boot into adb mode (fast-boot mode).

To enter into adb mode you need to press power button and volume down button simultaneously for 5-6 seconds.

Now release the power button but keep pressing volume down button.

Now you will enter adb mode .

=> Now select recovery .(use volume down for scrolling and volume up button to select).

Congratulations!!! Custom recovery has been successfully installed.
