How to repair IMEI error on your phone ? ( Solved )
What is IMEI ?
IMEI is the short form of International Mobile Station Equipment Identity. It is an identification number different in every device. With the help of this number we can track any phone number if it is in use.
The IMEI number is preloaded in every device and you can see it by just removing the battery because it is printed just below the battery. Either you can know your IMEI number easily by dialing *#06#. It is a USSD code which tells the IMEI number of every device.
The number of IMEI numbers depends on the number of SIM ( Subscriber Identity Module ) the device supports. The single SIM devices have 1 IMEI number where as the Dual SIM devices have 2 IMEI numbers.
Sometimes we have to face some error regarding the IMEI number. Today i will tell you how to fix this error in simple and easy steps. ( This will work only on rooted Android devices )
WARNING : It is recommended that you do this process on your own risk. If any sort of misshappening happens then author is not responsible for this.
STEPS :
=> Download IMEI Maker zip file from HERE
=> Download IMEI Repair zip file from HERE
=> After downloading both the above files extract IMEI Maker zip file at any place on your PC
=> Open the folder where you extracted it and Press Shift + F10 to open the command window here
=> Now enter "imei.exe <15digit_IMEI_1> <15digit_IMEI_2>" in the command window ( Remove double quotes )
For example : imei.exe 256464513215469 47859612365452
=> Now a file will be created automatically named “MP0B_001_NEW”
=> Rename this file and remove _NEW from the file name
=> Now open IMEI Repair zip file in Winrar or any other zip file viewer
=> Navigate to data < nvram < md < NVRAM < NVD_IMEI < MPOB_001
=> Copy the zip to your memory card
=> Now flash it using any custom recovery whether CWM , TWRP or Philz Recovery
Note : If you flash a new ROM or perform a system restore than your IMEI will be erased automatically and you have to make your IMEI again.
